Description, duties, responsibilities
We are currently seeking a full-time experienced Chief Inspector with an Airframe and Powerplant license. This is an FAR Part 135 Charter business based in Denver Colorado.
This position will be based in Denver Co. and will have oversight of all company aircraft which are based at various locations around the country.
This person will report to the Managing Director of M&N Aviation and work closely with the Director of Maintenance at the company headquarters in Denver CO.
This individual must be:
- Self-motivated, responsible, and reliable. Able to perform all duties with limited supervision.
- Very familiar with the FARs particularly regarding aircraft on part 135.
- Able to work well with the FAA.
Duties:
- The Chief Inspector oversees and manages all aspects of aircraft maintenance inspections, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and operational requirements.
- Review all Aircraft Maintenance Records to ensure proper completion, appropriate entries into permanent maintenance records.
- Ensure all work done is in accordance with M&N Aviation’s General Maintenance Manual and all forms are completed and maintained in an orderly fashion.
- Ensure only authorized signatures are used for return to service and maintain a list of all persons trained and authorized for return to service and RII.
- Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with relevant aviation regulations (FARs).
- Perform audits as necessary for all vendors and maintain records for all outside maintenance organizations and their employees.
- Work closely with the DOM to put new aircraft through FAA conformity that are to be brought onto our 135 certificate.
- Maintain FAA Form 337 disposition, weight, and balance amendments and AFM revisions, as well as ensuring all maintenance documents are current and flight operations software is properly utilized.
Qualifications:
- Holds an FAA Airframe and Powerplant Technicians License.
- Holds an Inspection Authorization (IA) a plus but not a requirement.
