In 2015, the company also became a Cirrus Authorized CAPS Center, providing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs, warranty service, pre-purchase evaluations, and annual inspections, on all models of single engine Cirrus Aircraft. Essential Functions:

The Lead Aircraft Mechanic - Maintenance Manager ensures work assignments are being performed efficiently and within designated time allowances. Assists and contributes to the performance and compliance of the service department, while performing the duties of an FAA Certified A&P/IA Mechanic. Guides the work of other aircraft mechanics by planning, prioritizing, assigning work schedules, providing quality control and on-the-job training, through collaboration with the scheduling department and the facility owner. Reports directly to the facility owner.

Requirements:

• FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic and IA Certificate in good standing.
• Minimum of (5) years of recent piston airframe and power plant employment history. Cirrus Aircraft experience mandatory (will consider less than 5 yrs. experience if candidate meets all other requirements).
• Minimum of (2) years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
• Professional, friendly demeanor, possess strong teamwork skills, communicate well with customers, management and staff.
• Ability to read and utilize maintenance manuals, parts catalogs, schematics, service bulletins and airworthiness directives, to troubleshoot effectively and perform work assignments efficiently and within estimated/budgeted time.
• General computer skills necessary to efficiently utilize industry-based software and navigate internet-based manuals, parts catalogs and perform research.
• Ability to lift at least 70 lbs.
• Able and willing to work in the elements.
• Must receive negative pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, and participate in random company drug and alcohol screening program.
• Satisfactory findings on background check.
• Possess personal set of tools, and adequate storage, specific to the trade.
• Successful completion of on-site, company paid Cirrus Aircraft internet-based maintenance course at onset of employment.
