Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and driven Ballistician to join our elite team of engineers and scientists. As a Ballistician at Firehawk Aerospace you will be at the forefront of developing and analyzing solid rocket motor systems for defense applications. You will collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the industry to design optimize and assess propulsion systems that will shape the future of aerospace technology.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of solid rocket motor ballistic performance encompassing trajectory prediction propulsion efficiency and flight dynamics
  • Utilize cutting-edge modeling and simulation tools to refine motor design and enhance performance metrics
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate ballistic analysis seamlessly into overall system development and design processes
  • Perform comprehensive sensitivity analysis and risk assessment to ensure the reliability and effectiveness of propulsion systems across various operational scenarios
  • Prepare and deliver detailed technical reports and presentations effectively communicating analysis findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders and project teams
  • Requirements:

    • Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Advanced degree preferred
    • Proven experience in ballistic analysis within the aerospace or defense industry with a strong understanding of solid rocket motor principles
    • Proficiency in utilizing advanced modeling and simulation software such as MATLAB ANSYS or similar tools
    • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences

    • Familiarity with defense industry standards regulations and certification processes
